AWT Scholarship Program
The Association for Women in Technology established the AWT Charitable Foundation 501(c)(3) to provide scholarships for women in Southern California who desire to study technology at vocational schools, community colleges, or four-year institutions. The Foundation’s scholarship program supports the mission of AWT to increase the number of careers for women in technology, foster career advancement through professional development and education, and provide a support network for women in technology.
Since the founding of the AWT Foundation, AWT has awarded multiple scholarships and raised over $20,000 in scholarship dollars. Most students receive some form of financial assistance to make their higher education experience possible, and AWT is passionate about providing opportunities to fund women in the field of technology. As evidence of your strong commitment to AWT, last year’s Annual Scholarship Campaign provided $2,500 to student aid funds, exceeding all previous year’s campaigns.
These awards are possible through the generous support of our members, community and industry friends. These individuals and companies, through their commitment to higher education, play an active role in the future of information technology.
